Modern, electromagnetic solenoid-based player systems such as Prodigy II by PianoDisc and PNOmation³ by QRS Music are considerably more accurate and expressive than their pneumatic predecessors. They reproduce over 1,000 levels of expression with nanosecond accuracy for truly emotional, lifelike performances. Over 30,000 songs are available, including public domain and licensed libraries of popular artists. Hundreds of songs are added every year, and requests are welcome! QRS and PianoDisc systems can be added to almost any vertical or grand piano. We can even convert old pneumatic player pianos to a modern system that needs almost no maintenance. The piano’s keys are struck by solenoids from below. Access vast digital libraries of digitized (scanned) piano rolls plus modern recordings with full expression. Digital piano features — including Virtual Instruments, Transposition, Recording, Silent Practice & Remote Learning — are available as an add-on to a playback system or as a standalone system. Thousands of Satisfied Clients
Formally educated through the University of Western Ontario’s Piano Technology Program, Michael Ruttle is a master-level piano technician experienced in every facet of piano tuning, maintenance and repair. His work can be heard in major venues across Alberta as well as in schools, churches, community centres, restaurants, lounges, on Disney+, and in thousands of private homes — on pianos ranging from the simplest of spinets for first-time students, to the most elaborate concert grands for seasoned performers.
My experience as a technician has taught me to appreciate the subtle complexities of this unique instrument, and to understand the needs of pianists and piano owners. I respect and value an honourable reputation by holding myself and my team to a quality work standard. We look forward to providing you with prompt and professional piano tuning, maintenance, repair, restoration, moving and storage services.
